Wiki Wonders

I just posted on a wiki and found it very easy to do. I'm trying to think of how I could use this in my library. Hmmmmm.....

I always use wikis in classes. Typically, there is a class wiki page and usually teachers assign questions and have the students post their answers and the sources on the page, so all the other students can look them over too. If you don't have classes maybe you could create an informational wiki for other teachers/librarians, then teachers could figure out how easy and fun wikis can be and perhaps incorporate them into the coursework...

I think wikis will come into their own as creative people find innovative ways to use them. They are still quite new and Wikipedia is actually a poor example of how best to use a wiki, I think.
